4. Use the resources made for your level
If you are determined to achieve compassion, you will be tempted to miss the resources made for middle -level English students and immediately jump to content made for fluent English speakers.
Every ambitious language student has done this at several points or others! However, the reality is that you will get more from your study hours if you use the resources made for your level.
For example, instead of watching the latest American blockbuster with subtitles in your own language, try watching episodes of children’s performances in English without subtitles. You will better understand and will get more new vocabulary from the context.
5. Do your pronunciation
Working on your pronunciation is very helpful for several reasons. First, if other English or Pashto Language speakers feel your accent is difficult to understand, they might underestimate your English level that will frustrate.
Second, some work becomes fluent is physical. If your mother tongue sounds very different from English, then you need to pay attention to moving your mouth and tongue in a new way.
Original Spanish speakers, for example, sometimes say that speaking English for a long time makes their jaws sick at first. For more practical training that you can bookmark and come back at any time, see our English pronunciation guide.
6. Learn the phrase, not words -words
Smooth can speak without hesitation. If you learn English words one by one, it will be very difficult not to hesitate when building sentences. That’s because you have to translate every English sentence in your head from your mother tongue, word for word. There is another way: Learning new words as part of a common phrase can ease mental tension when speaking.
To take a very basic example, if you study the word “tonight,” it will help to try and learn all the phrases “tonight, I will do it.” In this way, when you need to discuss your plans for that night, your brain has half of the reply that has been prepared beforehand a little stop and think that is involved.
The list of learning phrases in new languages is also known as “mining sentences”. Fans claim that it allows them to use new vocabulary faster, and memorize the grammar more naturally.

7. Accept that you will feel uncomfortable speaking English
For almost everyone, speaking of any new language means fighting through a barrier to fear. This is really normal! Your original language is a very appropriate tool to describe the concept. You really realize the subtle implications of your words, how to use irony and humor, and how the word stress can slightly change the meaning of what you say.
As a comparison, speaking in any new language feels like using a blunt ax. You can’t say what you mean. You might offend someone, or fool yourself. You certainly will not look as smart as actually. This is scary! Some language students talk about how annoying.
Language expert and polyglot, Olly Richards stated that language students must have “tolerance to ambiguity”. The method is to learn language quickly, including receiving confusion and ambiguity. You will not understand everything or speak the perfect English when you try and achieve smoothness, and it’s okay.
Real progress comes when you overcome shame put yourself in English situations, and let yourself make mistakes.
